User & Market Research Analyst

At Dailymotion we offer an intuitive and highly optimised ad-revenue based video platform for our users, content partners and advertisers. Within the User Product Tribe, your job will be to help the team drive the product roadmap through a greater understanding of our market and our users (actual and potential).   

The User Product Tribe is responsible for building a personalised, immersive and continuous video experience for our users, cross touch-points. We want to offer an intuitive and highly optimised ad-revenue based video. Within this tribe you’ll be working closely with engineers, product leads, growth hackers, marketing and designers to ensure both product-market fit on a long-term basis and the foundations of a powerful growth model.

Job description

1- User Research
- Work closely with our growth team to integrate qualitative research methods with ongoing quantitative research
- Design & execute custom primary research that assess both behaviour and attitudes for both actual and potential users.
- Capture user feedback, measure customer satisfaction (NPS) 
- Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topics

2- Market Research
- Work closely with product managers & product development teams to provide a real snapshot of our market 
   * Competitive analysis - feature releases, product updates from our main competitors and other leading entertainment apps
- Conduct up-front product opportunity research to accompany:
*new product development
*product upgrades
*expansion into new markets

In addition, you will help drive change through effective communication of findings with internal stakeholders and manage third-party research vendors /solutions as necessary

Initial projects 
- Identify a solution that can provide web & app-based customer satisfaction data (NPS), implement campaigns, share findings
- Create a POC to evaluate running an online community of users that can be used to conduct upfront product/feature opportunity research.
- Define research process within product development & launch
- Evaluate mid-term user and market research needs

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Marketing, Market Research, or other related field
- Significant first experience in qualitative user and/or market research, preferably for websites or applications
- Proven ability to translate research findings into actionable product improvements
- Passionate about collecting and analysing data 
- The ability to analyse opinions and provides the reasons behind the percentages
- A flair for communicating large amounts of information - written and oral
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- A strong interest in pyschology and behaviour
- Bi-lingual English - French, another language is a plus.
